Atrius Forced Reset Selector (Ambidextrous)
The Atrius Forced Reset Selector (Ambidextrous) from Atrius Development Group replaces the standard safety selector in a compatible AR-pattern firearm. It does not replace the whole trigger or fire control group. It works with a compatible fire control group you already have.
The selector has three positions: SAFE, SEMI and Super-Semi. Super-Semi is the forced reset position. As the bolt carrier cycles, the selector returns the trigger to its ready position after each shot. The ambidextrous version puts a selector lever on both sides of the lower, so you can work it with either hand.
Atrius designed the FRS as a drop-in part, but forced reset depends on the whole rifle working as one system. Plan on a compatible lower receiver and trigger pocket, a compatible fire control group, a full-profile bolt carrier group, proper gas delivery and a tuned buffer and spring. Most problems come from the parts around the selector, not the selector alone. Need a lower with room for it? One Horse AR-15 lowers are low shelf lowers that accept multiple forced reset style devices.
Want the full breakdown before you buy? Read our forced reset selector guide for the AR-15. If you would rather skip the tuning, every One Horse Express rifle and pistol ships with the Atrius FRS factory-installed and live-fire tested.
