Big & Rich Come to Brownstown, and Leave With Two Express Rifles

There are some moments that mean more than words can fully express.
Having Big & Rich perform right here in One Horse’s hometown of Brownstown, Indiana was already something special. Small town, big stage, and a crowd that showed up ready. What happened around that show is what we’ll remember.
On the Bus, Before the Show
Before Big & Rich took the stage, we joined them on their tour bus and presented them with custom engraved and Cerakoted One Horse Express Rifles, built specifically for them.
These were not pulled off a shelf. Each rifle was built out at our shop on North Front Street, a few blocks from where the band played, and finished with custom Cerakote and engraving work done for these two and nobody else. It was an honor to shake their hands and hand the guns over in person.
Then They Turned It Around on Us
Later that night, during the show, the band invited members of the One Horse team onto the stage, including our Owner and CEO Jeremy Hammons, to recognize them as Veterans and raise a toast to their service.
That was not on any schedule and nobody asked for it. Big Kenny and John Rich stopped the show, put the spotlight on the men who served, and let the whole crowd say thank you with them. Standing on that stage, in our own hometown, in front of the people we live and work around every day, is not a thing any of us expected when the night started.
We are grateful to Big Kenny and Rich, and to Rock the Rind for making the night happen and for taking the time to honor our Veterans.
What They Took Home
The Express Rifle is the platform we launched this summer, and it ships from Brownstown with a factory-installed Atrius Forced Reset Selector. That is the piece that makes the Express what it is, and it is the reason the rifle exists as its own line rather than another AR on the rack.
Around the selector, the build sheet reads the way we think a rifle should be spec’d from the factory instead of after three rounds of upgrades:
- 16″ CrMoV nitride barrel, SOCOM profile
- Atrius Single Side Selector
- Breek Arms Warhammer Mod2 charging handle
- 15″ Express-Lock handguard
- Thril CCS stock and RTG grip
Same rifle we sell to customers, same components, same build process. The only difference on these two was the finish work and the engraving.
From Our Crew to Yours
To Big & Rich, thank you for the music, the hospitality, and most of all for the respect you showed our Veterans. It was an honor to share the moment in our hometown and send you down the road with a couple of One Horse rifles.
